Grandma's Jewelry

My grandma passed away last month and I was not able to attend her funeral,
I can not even begin to tell you how much it hurt.
I was seeing all these photos of family saying "goodbye to grandma"
that hurt.
I don't want to say goodbye, I still want her in my life.
So with all the jewelry she left to us kids I decided to make a memorial piece.
I gathered all the jewelry pieces my mom put aside for me,
Most of it I will wear as is but some earrings were missing mates and lets be honest
 I can't wear normal earrings.
( one inch gauged ear lobes)
More favorites, in grandma's jewelry box!

The one piece that I will wear the most is the pen necklace!!
I've been admiring the one on mad men and dreaming about buying one but there it was,
it was like my grandma had the exact same style that I do!

I did have to drill out the tip of the pen so I could use a new ink refill
but you would never be able to tell!

I gathered all the pieces that I wanted to use along with all my tools and hard ware.

After putting all of it together this is what I came up with,
A necklace with all the earrings that didn't have a mate and the most gorgeous pins!
This one will definitely be around my neck!

Thanks for stopping by!
